The police proceeded to extensive use of chemicals shortly after 2.30 pm to disperse the gathering of KKE and PAME members at the University.
Previously, the police forces rejected the request of Dimitris Koutsoumbas, who is at the scene to march, responding to the general secretary of the KKE that it is illegal.
It all started shortly before 2:00 p.m., with intensity at the intersection of Panepistimiou and Ippokratous streets, when a group of people suddenly came out of the alleys in the area and, according to the police, tried to advance towards Syntagma. Police have made limited use of tear gas and flash grenades, while at least seven arrests have been made.
