The head of the Hellenic Police decided to ban open-air gatherings throughout the country, in which four or more people participate.
According to the relevant announcement, this decision, which is valid from 6 a.m. on Sunday to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, was taken due to the urgent need to address a serious risk to public health and as part of the measures emergency to address its spread. coronavirus (COVID-19.
For offenders, subject to the application of other sanctions derived from current legislation, the following sanctions are provided:
- an administrative fine of (5,000) euros to legal persons and (3,000) euros to natural persons who organize public meetings in the open air and
- Administrative fine (300) euros to people who violate the prohibition by participating in public meetings in the open air.
It is recalled that the Minister of Citizen Protection, Michalis Chrysochoidis had announced that the march to the Polytechnic will not be held, since there was no parade on October 28 and March 25, but also that Easter was not celebrated.
