The government today took a further step in tightening measures to stop the pandemic, adopting the suggestion of infectious disease specialists to suspend the operation of elementary schools, kindergartens and day care centers across the country from next Monday until Monday. November 30.

When does e-learning start for elementary students?
Thus, starting Monday, school administrations, in collaboration with teachers, will prepare a modern distance education program and take the necessary tests. However, distance learning will begin on Wednesday, after the school holidays on November 17. It is recalled that lessons are already offered through distance education to students of Gyms and Lyceums, whose operation was suspended since November 9.
The course schedule
It will be compulsory and at the pertinent suggestion of the Institute of Educational Policy, each teaching hour will last 30 minutes. Online classes will take place from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM for Primary Schools, 2:00 PM to 4:20 PM for Kindergartens, and this schedule also includes short breaks.
Educational television for primary school students
At the same time, starting Monday at 9 a.m., the first day of implementation of the measures, ERT2 will start broadcasting television lessons for primary school students. The syllabus will be released tomorrow.
Special education schools are open
It should be noted that, as announced by Ms. Kerameos, special education and training schools of all levels will remain open throughout the country.
What is provided to employees in the state
For his part, the Minister of the Interior, Takis Theodorikakos, presented the measures that have been planned for employees in the State, which provide, among other things, teleworking, the possibility of working part-time and the use of special permits.
In particular, Mr. Theodorikakos announced that the State will operate with absolutely necessary staff based on the specific work plan that must exist in each service.
For specialties where this is possible, it will apply telecommuting to the greatest extent possible and in no case less than 50% of the State’s employees.
In addition, the management of each department must ensure that the officials belonging to high risk groups, you will stay at home, either to work from there through teleworking, or through leave.
