Even the nuclear shelters at Military Hospital 424 are ready to be used if there is a need for coronavirus treatment in Thessaloniki.
This was revealed by the head of its Business Center Attica region and the Athens Medical Association, Dr. Panos Efstathiou, in an interview on NET24 with Vassilis Talamagas on Attica tv.
Mr. Efstathiou spoke about the critical situation that prevails in all hospitals in the country due to the pandemic and also referred to the nuclear basements of the 424 military hospital.
“An announcement was made that few understood. The 424 military hospital Thessaloniki it is one of the best military hospitals in Europe. It was built 15-20 years ago. I had the special honor as director in the health department of the first office in this context of following the process of its construction. This as-built military hospital has three basements with nuclear protection underneath. These are always within the reserve.
