Sweden has adopted an unorthodox strategy since the start of the coronavirus epidemic, avoiding strict restrictive measures
Sweden has registered 5,990 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, the highest number since the outbreak began, according to the country’s Health Service.
The number of new cases is comparable to the 4,697 cases registered in early November.
The death toll in the last 24 hours was 42. Sweden has a per capita death rate many times higher than its northern European neighbors, but lower than other European countries like Spain.
