The president and the board of SA Cemento TITAN We announce with deep regret the news of the death of Theodoros Papalexopoulos, who for five decades has been the emblematic figure of the Group.
During his tenure on Titan, he has rendered valuable services to society in general, industry and the economy, both at national and European level, having been president of BSE, founding member and honorary president of IOBE, as well as founding member of ALBA Graduate Business School. He was a pioneer in many aspects of local social life, creating institutions such as the “Islands of Quality” for the recognition of volunteering, the “Citizen Movement” for the awakening and active participation of citizens and the “FAOS – Creating a mindset for life “to prevent accidents at work and in schools. At the same time, he showed special interest in the preservation and dissemination of our cultural heritage, contributing catalytically, among other things, to the restoration of the Temple of Zeus in Nemea.
