Two days ago, another Turkish Navtex preceded Ankara’s call for the demilitarization of four islands under the Treaty of Lausanne.
Turkey continues with provocative actions in the Aegean, this time with a new NAVTEX during which calls for the demilitarization of Tilos and Halki.
In fact, Ankara invokes Paris treaty, outrageously calling for no exercises to be carried out in the area between the two islands.
Two days ago, another Turkish Navtex preceded Ankara’s call for the demilitarization of four islands under the Treaty of Lausanne. This Navtex referred to Samos, Chios, Samothrace and Lemnos.
At the same time, the illegal activities of Oruc Reis continue. On Wednesday morning (11/11), the Antalya station issued a new naval directive for the Turkish research vessel for research in the eastern Mediterranean.
The new illegal directive for seafarers affects an area south of Kastelorizo and is valid until 23 November.
The previous Navtex for Oruc Reis expired on November 14, but the Turkish side was quick to renew it, something it had done the previous time.
Protest action of the Greek Foreign Minister
The ministry highlights that Turkey announces the continuation of Illegal seismic surveys from November 11 to 23 in an area that overlaps a Greek continental shelf in the eastern Mediterranean.
He stressed that with this measure, Turkey continues to violate the International Law of the Sea and undermine peace and stability in the region.

Greece once again condemns this provocative behavior, which further distances any prospect of a constructive dialogue and calls on Turkey to immediately revoke the illegal Navtex.It expresses the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and adds:
