This is the reason why the government is already planning new measures, in case what was advanced today does not work. Speaking to MEGA and to the main newsletter with Rania Jima, Stelios Petsas, stressed that if the expected and the new measures do not work, there are two scenarios on the table.
First, we may have a greater restriction on travel and second, a restriction on some activities that are free today, such as schools and some professional activities that operate today, and maybe that will change.

The confinement is even more difficult

- The number 2 corresponds to: Go to a supply of basic products in the store (supermarket, mini market)
- The number 3 corresponds to: Go to the bank to the extent that electronic transactions are not possible
- The number 4 corresponds to: Move to help people in need
- The number 5 corresponds to: Attend a ceremony (for example, funeral, marriage, baptism) under the conditions provided by law or go to divorced parents or those who are in a necessary dimension to ensure communication between parents and children, in accordance with the provisions.
- The number 6 corresponds to: Physical exercise in the open air or movement with a pet, individually or as a couple, observing in the latter case the necessary distance of 1.5 meters.
Clarifications for physical exercise
In addition, during today’s briefing, Mr. Hardalias clarified that during the hours in which physical exercise is allowed, that is, from 05:00 to 21:00, the sending of an SMS to number 6 will be valid.
However, this does not refer to sports / training within sports clubs, but strictly only to individual sports.
This can be done in compositions of up to 3 people and with a strong recommendation, this should preferably be done near the home of the citizens.

Particular confusion and discomfort was generated on Wednesday afternoon, after the announcement of new, stricter measures to limit the transmission of the coronavirus.
The Deputy Minister of Civil Protection, Nikos Hardalias, announced the ban on traffic from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. -with few exceptions- as well as additional measures for teleworking and individual exercise.
According to him, the reason for the tightening of the measures is the government’s finding that there are unnecessary movements that facilitate the transmission of the virus.
The curfew at 9:00 p.m. imposed from tomorrow, Friday, will cause a domino of new interventions in the market.
After the announcements of the new measures by the head of Civil Protection, there was confusion regarding the operation of take away and delivery and the information they wanted to “block” as of 20:30.
However, according to Civil Protection sources in in.gr, – which were confirmed a short time later with an official announcement – for the removal, the obvious will apply. That is, citizens will not be able to go out exclusively to buy food after 9:00 p.m. and until 5:00 a.m. in the morning, when the new measures will be applied.
However, if someone goes out at those hours for permissible reasons (health, work, going out with a pet), they can buy food to go.
As for deliveries, home deliveries are expected to remain valid until companies close on schedule.
