Unprecedented scenes unfolded outside the presidential palace in Turkey. According to the Cumhuriyet newspaper and a member of the Good Party parliament, Erdogan’s son-in-law and resigned Finance Minister Berat Albayrak was caught in the arms of the new central bank governor, Naci Agbal!
According to SKAI correspondent Manolis Kostidis, the Turkish newspaper notes that on Saturday night the Turkish president called the new central bank governor to obtain information on the economy. Agbal told Erdogan that there were no foreign reserves. The President of Turkey called Albayrak to the presidential palace for explanations, who was outraged at the new central banker, as a result of which they were caught in the arms on leaving the presidential palace! It is observed that the relations between the two men were not good. Agbal served as finance minister from 2015 to 2018, and Albayrak had beheaded all of his associates when he succeeded him.
Tayyip Erdogan ousted former central bank governor Murat Wisal on Saturday, and the next day the resignation of Finance Minister Berat Albayrak was announced.
