December will be a month of state payments for hundreds of thousands of workers, self-employed, self-employed, businesses and owners affected by the pandemic. The disbursements will refer to the compensation for those who have been suspended from work, the refundable advance, as well as the payment of half of the owners’ loss due to the mandatory reduction of the properties.
Specifically, at the end of last week the last substantial payments of the “reimbursable advance 3” were made, with a total of 101,430 beneficiaries of this cycle, to whom direct financial aid was paid for a total of 1,507 million euros. . In the first 15 days of this month the opening of the electronic platform of the “repayable advance 4” of 1,000 million euros, followed by the “repayable advance 5” of 700 million euros is expected. The objective of the financial staff is to disburse the amounts of these two cycles – in which 50% will be non-refundable, at the end of the year – in order, including the 3,369 million euros of the first three cycles, to support companies up to at the end of the year through the five cycles of the financing scheme to exceed 5 billion euros.
According to the data available to the state General Accounting Office, 60% of Greek companies can apply for and receive a state loan in the last two rounds of the “repayable advance”.
Meanwhile, from November 27 to December 3, the compensation will be paid (in proportion to the days of work suspension) to the employees of the companies that were closed by state order, while by December 20 the bonus will be paid 800 euros to employees who suspended in November.
Specifically:
* From November 3 to 30, the employment contracts of employees in companies whose operation was suspended by state order on 03/11/2020 in specific Regional Units are suspended, before the announcement of the generalized measures for the entire territory. In this case the employee will receive 747 euros (calculation of 800 euros for 28 days of suspension).
* From November 7 or any other date different from the start of the measure to suspend the operation of state-mandated companies (eg. Hairdressers) until November 30, the employment contracts of employees of companies whose operation was suspended are suspended by state order the announcement of generalized measures for the entire territory. For companies that were closed from the first day of the lockdown, the employee will receive 640 euros. For hairdressers and beauty salons that close as of tomorrow, the employee will receive 587 euros (calculation of 800 euros for 22 days of suspension).
At the same time, the government is proceeding with a new way to compensate some 400,000 homeowners for the mandatory “cut” in rent from November rents. Based on the compensation model with future tax obligations, which had provoked the reaction of the owners, it was decided, as compensation, 50% of the damage suffered by the rent “cut” in their income to be credited by the State to their bank accounts.
For example, a landlord receives a monthly rent of 2,000 euros. With the “cut” of rents by 40%, he has a loss of income of 800 euros. With the new model, you are entitled to compensation of 400 euros, which will be credited to your bank account. To recover the amount of compensation corresponding to the November loss, the beneficiary holder must submit an electronic loss declaration (Covid declaration) for November electronically to TAXISnet. Compensation will be paid in December.
Finally, with regard to the Christmas gift, which must be paid by businessmen from December 21 to 31, the State -as was the case with the Easter gift- will pay the companies the corresponding proportion for the period of time that The Employees were suspended, but calculated on the amount of 534 euros and not on the nominal salary of the employee.
