Extremely worrying is the outlook presented by rapid test results in some parts of the country.
EODY teams conducted a series of tests across the country on Friday, at a time when there is an exponential increase in coronavirus cases across Greece.
Gavdos and Othonos become “locusts” – Military presence for the first time
According to EODY data, more than 30% of the tests in Gravena were positive. On the other hand, in Pieria the positives in the tests exceeded 20%.
The areas where the rapid trials were carried out were Elefsina, Patras, Pieria, Kilkis and Grevena.
The EODY data is as follows:
1. Heroes’ Square, Elefsina – West Attica
In total, 660 rapid Ag antigen tests were performed and 7 were found positive (1.06%). They are 6 men and 1 woman, with an average age of 38 years.
2. Democracy Square, Patras – Achaia Prefecture
In total, 134 rapid Ag antigen tests were performed in Rome and all were negative.
3. In Deskati Square – Grevena Prefecture
A total of 89 rapid Ag antigen tests were performed and 28 (31.5%) were found, 13 men and 15 women, with a median age of 49 years.
4. Lofos Square – Pieria Prefecture
A total of 34 rapid Ag antigen tests were performed, with 8 positive (23.5%), 5 men and 3 women, with a mean age of 66 years.
5. Town Hall Square (Latsia Square) – PE Kilkis
741 Ag antigen rapid tests were performed and 51 positive cases (6.9%) were detected. They are 29 men and 22 women, with an average age of 42 years.
