Turkey warned today that it would “respond decisively” to dismantling by France of the Turkish supranationalist organization of the Gray Wolves, calling this decision a “challenge”.
“We emphasize the need to protect the freedom of expression and assembly of the French Turks and to respond to this decision in the strongest terms,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The French Interior Minister announced today the dissolution of the “Gray Wolf movement”, following recent violent incidents between members of the Turkish community and members of the Armenian community in France.
Turkey’s Foreign Ministry highlighted today that “there is no movement called ‘Gray Wolves'”, describing the movement that was dissolved by France today as a “figment of imagination.”
The dissolution of the “Gray Wolves” is an indication that “the French government is now completely under the control of the Armenian circles of influence,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
