Coronation cases are large in Greece as according to the latest data, only today, 04/11/2020, 2,646 additional cases were reported.
The focus of the pandemic now seems to be in Thessaloniki, which with 823 cases, has been locked up in the last twenty-four hours. There is also a significant increase in cases in Athens, which remains at alarming levels with 588 cases. At the same time, a triple digit case number is presented in Larissa with 111 patients.
Of the 42 cases detected at the country’s gateways, 78 are under investigation.
Government sources said: “In recent days, despite the measures, there has been an exponential increase in cases throughout the country. This is a red flag because there will be more pressure on the health system. Therefore, as in the previous phase, the necessary measures must be taken to stop the pandemic. We can’t wait for the problem to come. The situation is evaluated daily. The measures are under study and will be announced by the Prime Minister following the suggestions of the experts ”.
According to certain information, the government is initiating the resumption of the blockade throughout the country from Friday morning or Saturday morning.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will make announcements to address the pandemic and answer questions from journalists tomorrow at 12 noon at the Palace of the Maxims.
