Significant change for drivers who will no longer need to use different transceivers in toll booths
Facilitated by Wednesday (4/11) the life of the country’s drivers as it is put into operation single electronic pass. Drivers will be able to drive on all roads with just one transceiver device they have.
In particular, from now on the driver will be able to use a single transceiver when passing through the Attiki Odos, Nea Odos, Kentrikos Odos, Aegean Motorway, Egnatia Odos, Gefyra, Olympia Odos and Moreas.
Until now, drivers had to have three different devices: transceivers for all roads. With the interoperability of tolls, it is possible to cross with any of the existing transceivers.
In case the driver has the amount on his device, he can add money through the website of the road from which he acquired it, paying by credit or debit card. Otherwise, you must have loaded your transceiver with money, having a physical presence at the Customer Service Points of your own provider. However, you will not be able to charge your provider’s transceiver at another provider’s customer service points.
How the single e-pass works had been announced by the competent Infrastructure and Transport Ministers Karamanlis Coast and Territory and Digital Governance Kyriakou Pierrakaki and aims to facilitate the daily life of citizens who move on the roads.
