The economy in the United States and not the control of the pandemic is considered the most important issue by the majority of voters who responded to CNN’s first exit poll.
Based on the first results, a third of those surveyed said they believe the hottest topic is the US economy. One in five responded that the most important problem is racial inequality and the same percentage considers that the evolution of the pandemic is the most critical problem.
About one in ten said they voted, focusing primarily on crime and security in the United States and another 10% on health policy. More than half of the voters respond that it is more important to control the coronavirus than to rebuild the economy.
What do you think about dealing with the pandemic?
As for the efforts to stop the pandemic, the picture is almost divided, with half thinking that the efforts are going well and the other half responding that the course in the United States is bad.
Finally, about two-thirds of voters say that wearing a mask in public is a sign of responsibility, while 30% believe it is a “personal choice.”
