The 42-year-old, who had been diagnosed positive for coronavirus in the previous days and was being treated at the Covid-19 clinic, had pneumonia last Friday and was admitted to ICU.

However, according to the information, intubation was considered necessary today due to very low oxygen levels.

This is the second Covid-19 patient to be hospitalized in an ICU in Crete, after a 65-year-old patient in PAGNI’s ICU.

In addition, in the Intensive Care Unit of the Venizelio Hospital, an 81-year-old man is being treated without intubation.

As for the Covid-19 clinics, one patient is being treated at Venizelio, six at PAGNI, one at the Ierapetra hospital and one at the Agios Nikolaos hospital.
