Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurtz described the terrorist attack in Vienna as disgusting, in his first statement after the incident that caused a stir around the world.
In his first statement, Kurtz said that the federal government had decided that the Armed Forces would take over the protection of residents and property in Vienna so that the police could fully focus on fighting terrorism.
“Our police will take decisive action against the perpetrators of this heinous terrorist attack. I am glad that our police have already succeeded in eliminating one perpetrator.” We will never be intimidated by terrorism and we will combat these attacks by all means, “Kurtz said.
