With a 12-day delay, doctors and nurses at the Patmos Health Center received samples of biological material for coronavirus examination, according to employees of the Leros Hospital and the Patmos Health Center, Lipsi and Agathonisi.

Specifically, the officials of the Patmos Health Center received last Saturday (10/31) a coffin with about 50 samples of biological material to be analyzed for coronavirus, which, however, had been received 12 days before.

As it turned out, these 50 samples were taken, according to iatropedia, by EODY employees, by patients from the Leros Psychiatric Clinic, PIKPA and the Leros Nursing Home.

These 50 samples, according to the employees, had remained in the ship’s refrigerators for 12 days, with no one wondering what their destination would be.

Specifically, Leros employees state in their advertisement: “The material remained in the ship’s freezer for 12 days without anyone looking for it. In addition, during EODY’s usual practice, when consulted by the responsible committee of the Leros Hospital about the results of the detection in our patients, the answer was given days ago “that there is no notification from the laboratory, therefore all the to be analyzed is negative for the virus ”. ».

The employees affirm that “the responsibilities of the EODY Administration and the government are enormous, in terms of the neglect of the mechanism that has been put in place, for the transport of biological materials for examination and consequently in the detection and prevention of the disease. ».

At the same time, there is no permanent EODY ladder on the islands of Leros and Patmos, according to the same complaints.
