The cube was launched by the arrival of another model in Europe, by Renault. The French company had long considered launching the Arkana in the old continent, beyond Asia, and finally decided to make it available, perhaps seeing that both the design of the model and its enrichment with hybrid engines, can have a commercial effect.

The model is based on a completely new platform, already used by the new Clio and Captur. However, with dimensions 4,568 m. of length, 1,571 m. Height and 2,720 m. Of battle, it belongs to the category of medium vehicles, in this case SUV Coupé, since this is the design given by the brand’s engineers.
So it is expected to stand out a lot, among the rest of the models in the Renault range, having full LED headlights, 4.2, 7 or 10.2-inch digital instrument panel, depending on the version, 7 color touch screen or 9.3 inches, also depending on the version, on a network driver-centric cab, space for 5 passengers and 513 liters of luggage.
Now what is also interesting is that it will initially launch with two mild hybrid technology versions, with 1.3 TCe petrol engine – 140 and 160 hp, which will be combined with a 12V battery / generator, in order to reduce consumption and reduce pollutants. A little later, it will be framed with one full hybrid version, E-TECH hybrid, similar to the Clio hybrid, expected for October in Greece.
In this version, there are 1.6 lt naturally aspirated gasoline engine, specially adapted, accompanied by two electric motors – one of which is the HSG type (high voltage starter generator) – and an innovative gearbox with a smaller clutch.
the regenerative system It works in two ways: When the driver takes their foot off the accelerator pedal and the vehicle is in “Drive”, the main electric motor acts as a generator that recovers the kinetic energy generated by the deceleration and converts it into electricity that is sent back to the battery. To regain more power, the gear selector can be put in “Brake” mode (B). In this case, the car brakes much faster.
According to studies, in daily driving more than 80% can circulate purely electric in the city, significantly reducing the carbon dioxide emitted, while running on fuel, combined, it can reduce consumption to more than 40%. In fact, the driver can choose the driving mode via the MULTI-SENSE selector, through programs: My Sense for daily driving, Eco for lower consumption and Sport with combined power from all engines.
Finally, it will be supplied with all modern safety and driver support systems, available from Renault: active emergency braking system, blind spot warning, traffic sign recognition with speeding warning, lane departure warning and lane guard system, 360 degree camera, cross traffic rear, parking sensors and Easy Park Assist, while in terms of connectivity, it will bring the Renault EASY LINK system.
It will be launched in a sportier RS Line version.
The model will be built at the South Korean factory, alongside the Renault Samsung Motors XM3 and is expected to be on the market in the first half of 2021.
