New measures: how many people will be able to travel in cars and taxis from Tuesday

The new measures that will take effect from next Tuesday were announced by the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection and Crisis Management, Nikos Hardalia.

According to the presentation of the new measures, the country will be divided into two zones, instead of the four (green, yellow, orange, red) that were in force until today.

The new zones will be called “Greater Vigilance” (A – yellow) and “Greater Risk” (B – red) and, today, according to the new map of health risks, 47 and 27 areas are included respectively. The “green” and “yellow” areas are included in the highest surveillance zone A and the “orange” and “red” areas are included in the highest risk zone B.

Both levels provide up to 65% occupancy on public transport and on ships.

Regarding taxis, on level A up to 3 passengers are allowed, while on level B ‘(red) only one passenger is allowed.

Also in level B ‘(red), up to 3 people are allowed in cars (except for families).
