A weak 4.2 Richter earthquake struck off the coast of Samos from the seismogenic area that caused the deadly 6.7 Richter earthquake.
The identity of the vibration
According to the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the earthquake occurred at 03:40 on Saturday and its epicenter was located 31 kilometers west-northwest of Samos, or 245 kilometers east of Athens.

In Samos, two students lost their lives when they were crushed by a wall that collapsed, while many were injured.
At least 24 dead
In Turkey, the latest report from the Disaster Management Agency estimates the death toll at 24.
