To avoid a widespread lockdown, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis today announces a new month-long package of measures against the spread of the coronavirus.
In this context, the scientists of the Committee of Experts allegedly proposed two horizontal measures.
This means imposing emergency measures throughout the country, regardless of the risk rating of the areas, but also a series of measures in the orange areas.
These measures include universal mask use across the country indoors and outdoors and suspension of all amateur team sporting events.
The only difference in compliance with the measure is that in areas of low epidemiological burden, the use of masks indoors and outdoors is imperative when and where there is synchronicity.
Unlike the orange and red areas, the use of a mask is mandatory everywhere, without exception.
THE suspension of team sporting events It is required throughout the country without exception while in the field of restoration, the expert’s recommendation includes the restaurant closings and other areas of health interest in the areas located at level 3 “orange” (increased surveillance) including Attica, either from 9:30 p.m. or from 10:00 p.m.

What’s changing on the health insurance map
At the same time, Thessaloniki, Larissa and Rodopi went through the “red” from 6 in the morning today, while a total of 14 regional units change level, on the map of health, safety and protection against the coronavirus.
As of today, the regional units: Drama, Evros, Imathia, Kavala, Kilkis, Xanthi, Pella, Pieria and Halkidiki are moving to “orange”, that is, to level 3 (higher vigilance). Thus, at this level there are now 19 regional units of the country.
Finally, regarding the changes in the map of health security and protection against the coronavirus, in the “yellow” – level 2 (surveillance) – the regional units, Arcadia and Messinia, pass from today.
