DOUBLE CHANGE AND RIGHT IN THREE MINUTES
At the start of the second half, Carrera made two corrective moves, with Tankovic – Oliveira replacing Livagia – Ansarifard. The justification for the Italian was not long in coming, after three minutes later, Mandalos found Tankovic with a great ball, who came out the back of the defense and with a beautiful left shot he defeated Smichel reducing it to 2-1.
The two players were back to work together seconds later, but this time the Swede failed from an advantageous position and “squandered” the chance to equalize at 2-2.
The goal and the great opportunity of AEK, “woke up” to Leicester, who raised their performance and looked for a third goal to take a clear advantage of the victory. However, Tsintotas said he was there when he needed it, while the crossbar was on the Greek team’s side, on a shot from Uder in the 64th minute.
