Blockade: The Infectious Diseases Committee went on a “red” alarm on Wednesday afternoon (10/28) after the announcement of new cases of coronavirus, which exceeded 1,500.

Although their meeting was scheduled for Thursday, however, due to the new negative record that was set in our country, infectious disease specialists met late in the afternoon to suggest to the government and the Prime Minister new measures to limit the spread of the virus.

According to information from the Nation Infectious disease specialists recommend that Kyriakos Mitsotakis take them immediately., to “stop” the rapid spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The most likely measures that the government is expected to take and which will be announced no later than Friday (10/30), are the following:

  • Traffic prohibition: It will be done from 9:00 p.m. or from 10:00 p.m. and will depend on the time at which it is decided to close the restaurants.
  • Off-Highway Traffic Ban – You are not allowed to move from county to county in those areas that are closed.
  • Vulnerable groups: The government is particularly concerned about what will happen to vulnerable groups and those over 65, so experts recommend a series of measures, such as restricting trafficking, but this is something that the government does not want for the moment. .
  • Closing in Thessaloniki, Rodopi and Larissa: A blockade in these areas is expected to be announced immediately, as the increase in cases is particularly worrying.

The closure in Attica is something that does not appear to be happening at the moment, as the prime minister’s goal is not to enter level 4 in the prefecture.

In any case, everything will be judged in the next period, since the fact that it has broken the barrier of 1,500 cases of coronavirus is particularly worrying.

It is no coincidence that the president of EODY, Panagiotis Arkoumaneas, rushed to Thessaloniki.
