According to the Turkish Anadolu news agency, the blast took place on Fener Street, which was blocked immediately after the blast.
According to the Turk Milliyet, the prefect of Hatay, Rahmi dogan, said through twitter that it all started when security forces tried to stop a vehicle with two suspects.
According to Dogan, there was an exchange of fire and a suicide bomber suddenly detonated his explosives.
The governor of Hatay said that the security forces had managed to neutralize one of the two perpetrators of the attack.
