A large explosion took place Monday night in the city of Alexandretta, in southwestern Turkey. Strong police forces and firefighters have rushed to the area.
Local media reported that the big explosion took place in the Hatay region of Turkey, by a suicide bomber and after an exchange of gunfire with the police. The mayor of the area, Rahmi Dogan, said that the two terrorists were in the Payas district and after the bombing of one, the other escaped from the Authorities and is wanted.
According to the first information, there are no losses while Daily Sabah points out that the PKK is responsible for the attack.
