The municipality of Serres is taking new emergency measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
As decided during a meeting, the municipality of Serres with the aim of protecting public health proceeds for a week to the following measures:
- Suspension of the operation of all municipal sports facilities.
- Suspension of concessions of school and municipal spaces to sports and cultural clubs.
- Suspension of all actions of DIPETHE.
- Suspension of the departments of the KEDIS Adult Dance and Gymnastics School.

Municipality of Serres: The actions that were decided
- Supply of 8 gates for precise temperature measurement, to be installed in the entrances of the Town Hall and all municipal spaces.
- Supply of 6,500 multipurpose cloth masks, to be distributed to students and teachers in the first phase of secondary education.
- Activation of volunteer groups for social actions.
- Design of a network of electronic services by DIPETHE, KEDIS and the Directorate of Health and Welfare of the Municipality of Serres.
- Information campaign aimed at sensitizing citizens about compliance with protection measures.
- Daily disinfection of playgrounds.
- Reinforcement of the Police with the capacity of the Municipal Police and the services of the Municipality and the Region to establish additional levels of mixed control.
It is recalled that EODY, on Sunday, announced 790 new cases in the country, of which 49 were located in Serres.
