Coronavirus: 5.5 million citizens living in the “red” and “orange” areas of Greece were quarantined at night from 12.30pm – The images we saw in recent days with hundreds of people crowded into squares and shops after midnight are a thing of the past.

The new measures apply to the “red” and “orange” areas.
The “reds” include Kozani and from Friday, Kastoria, while the “Orange” are the east and west of Attica, central, north, south and west of Athens, Piraeus, Thessaloniki, Ioannina, Larissa, Serres, Trikala, Boeotia and Thira.
How will the citizens move now?
The Government Bulletin that was made public clarifies all the doubts that citizens have after the decision of new measures, such as the traffic ban and the mask for the coronavirus pandemic.
Thus, ministerial decisions on the rules for maintaining distance and other protection measures throughout the Territory were published in the Government Gazette, in order to limit dispersal.
Specifically from Saturday at 6 in the morning, traffic is prohibited from 12:30 after midnight to 5 in the morningwhile wearing a mask (mask everywhere) is mandatory in all indoor and outdoor areas.
The new measures apply to regional units included in the Health and Safety Charter for Covid-19 infection, at level 3 (Greater surveillance) and level 4 (Greater risk).
Level 4 (increased risk) includes Kastoria, Kozani, while among the regional units located at level 3 (Greater Vigilance) the Attica and Thessaloniki region.
As for schools, students in the “orange” and “red” areas will henceforth wear masks during the hours they will be on the premises. This means that mask use is established during breaks.
Who will move and how
About curfew after 12:30 pm to 5 am, only those citizens who meet the following conditions will be able to travel without restrictions:
– The journalists and the people of the media go through the same process as they did during the lockdown period of the first phase of the pandemic, that is, presenting their journalistic identity and their employer’s certificate, which must be renewed every 14 days.
– The private sector workers You must have a marketing authorization certificate from the employer. To obtain the certificate of registration of the employees, who must go or leave their job, the employer must enter the ERGANI information system, complete the corresponding form and send it to the employee who can show it to the auditors. instruments in printed or electronic form. The authenticity of the document is certified by the protocol number it contains. The form is completed before the move and the employer must provide it and the employee must show it to the control bodies.
– In the case of other employees, natural personsThose who must travel during closed hours, such as self-employed, artisans, self-employed, must fill in the corresponding form that will be in the “ERGANI” information system again and which they must fill out before traveling, entering with the taxisnet codes.
– Officials for their exceptional movement they must bring their identity card or police passport as well as a circulation certificate, printed or electronic.
