A terrible crowd erupted shortly after midnight on Friday at the Agia Sofia church in Thessaloniki.
The young people, dispersed in groups that many times exceeded 10 people, enjoyed the last night of “freedom” before the imposition of the curfew from 12:30 after midnight until 5 in the morning.
The incident did not go unnoticed by authorities, as police officers rushed to the scene around 1 pm
Policemen with cameras and patrol asked the youth to move away from the point, warning attendees with voicemail from the patrol loudspeakers, that as a precaution, crowding was prohibited.
Following the police intervention at the site, the church yard was cleared of congestion, while the strong police force remained at the site until they made sure the attendees left.
