Leaders of the Golden Dawn, who were convicted of leading the criminal organization and taken to detention centers in four different parts of the country, went to jails.

Almost all of them passed through the Fthiotida Police Directorate building before their transfer was completed. By early afternoon, the police cages that took members of the criminal organization to prison had left GADA.

The first cage with 6 people arrived in Lamia around 5 in the afternoon. At the Fthiotida Police Directorate Transfer Department, an alarm had sounded and all the policemen were on foot.

Under strict measures, the detainees left the cage and entered the detention centers. A few minutes later, 3 of them left for Domokos Penitentiary and the other 3 for Malandrinos.

After 2 hours, that is, at 7 in the afternoon, the large cage of the Transfer Department arrived, in which 27 members of the Golden Dawn were traveling, among them the first-rate members of the organization.

At Domokos the leading team

Most of those convicted, especially members of the leadership of the criminal organization, arrived at Domokou prison at 20:15, in cells specially designed for possible cases of coronavirus and were isolated from the rest of the compound.

Nikos Michaloliakos, Elias Kasidiaris, George Germenis, Elias Panagiotaros, Nikos Michos, Panagiotis Iliopoulos, Polyvios Zisimopoulos, Konstantinos Barbarousis, Nikos Kouzilos, Antonis Gregos and 17 other members of the battalion.

In the prisons, places have been enabled where all the prisoners will be initially detained, in quarantine for 14 days, who will be examined for coronavirus and then transferred to their cells.

According to the information, the convicted members of Golden Dawn will not have contact with the other detainees, while some will be housed separately, due to the tense relations between them.

Pavlos Fyssas’s killer, Giorgos Roupakias, former MP Artemis Mattheopoulos and two other members of the raid battalions were transferred to Malandrinos prison. The other members of the assault battalions were transferred to Trikala jails.

Another police van transported the only woman among the convicts, former police officer Venice Popori, to Eleona Women’s Prison in Thebes.
