They agreed to an agreement to cancel military exercises scheduled for next week. Greece and Turkey, said the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg.
THE Stoltenberg had suggested in placing amutual suspension of educational activities during religious and national holidays, suspension of seismic investigations in Turkey and settlement of the dispute in accordance with international law.
Stoltenberg welcomed the decision of both parties.
It should be noted that refraining from military exercises during national and religious holidays is considered one of the oldest Confidence-building measures (CBM) between Greece and Turkey, although in practice it is mocked by neighbors.
