Actress Elli Kyriakidou, the beloved “godmother” of Andreas Georgiou from the series “8 Words”, has died.

Elli Kyriakidou was born in Limassol. At 15 she married and a year later she became a mother for the first time. He had four daughters. She had a passion for the theater and the renowned actor and teacher Adamantios Lemos urges her husband to let her go to the Theater while he initially refuses. In 1952 he decided to go to the Theater despite his father’s objections. With the Cypriot stage and the Temptation of Xenopoulos he obtains the baptism of fire. Three years later, the Cyprus Theater offered him to act in the play “Our roots are deep” with Andreas Moustras and a year later he emigrated to the Congo. She went to work with her husband. He returned in 1960 without giving up his passion and until 1962, when OTHAK was founded, he collaborated with the “United Artists” and the Cyprus Theater. From there he began a theatrical course that lasted 57 years on the blackboard until 2009 when he said goodbye to the theatrical audience with Bergman’s play “Person” that he chose.
Elli Kyriakidou attended Limassol Private Secondary School (Limassol Sixth Secondary School) and Stanislavski Drama School. He collaborated with RIK on radio and television shows, as well as ERT and film and television. He has starred in auditions, comedies, operettas, dramas, and tragedies.
