The ECDC Map of Coronavirus in Europe: How Greece Fares

[ad_1]

According to the current assessment of European countries by the European Center for Disease Control (ECDC) on the development of the coronavirus epidemic, Greece is still between very low to moderate levels of epidemiological burden.

The complex indicator used by the European Center reflects both the rate of spread of the disease and its potential for penetration into the community.

See the full ECDC evaluation here.

Specifically, southern Greece, eastern Macedonia, and Thrace are at very low risk. Attica, along with the rest of central Greece, Macedonia and Epirus are characterized as moderate risk, while only certain areas of central Macedonia have been characterized as high risk.

Unlike Greece, the vast majority of European countries are characterized as countries of high epidemiological risk, with the exception of some countries in north-central Europe where they have a moderate risk.
