Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will announce new measures to curb the coronavirus this afternoon.
As announced by the Prime Minister’s press office, at 7:00 p.m. Kyriakos Mitsotakis will address citizens with a televised message on the second wave of the pandemic.
In fact, from the Presidential Palace where he recently met with the President of the Republic, he said that we are in a second wave of the pandemic and we will inform the public about the situation.
“We are still doing better than the rest of Europe, but this is not a consolation,” Mitsotakis said.
Mr. Mitsotakis addressed the issue of individual responsibility and said that it is the other side of the coin of social solidarity. Our act, he pointed out, has an impact on others, grandparents, parents. For schools, he stated that there are no intense transmission phenomena, that basic safety measures are respected with the most basic mask everywhere and this is something encouraging.
Ms Sakellaropoulou addressed young people in particular, asking them to realize that the virus is collectively affecting the whole of society and society must defend itself. The measures, added the President of the Republic, are not a restriction on our freedom, but a question of social responsibility.
