The measures under consideration
Among these measures under consideration is the prohibition of night traffic from the closure of the restaurant in each area until 06:00 hours. For example, with existing measures, in Attica, where the restaurant closes at midnight, the traffic ban will be valid from 00:00 to 06:00. In the areas that are in the “yellow” and the restaurant closes at 00:30 the traffic ban will be valid from that time until 06:00. In case the restaurant decides to close before midnight, the same will be done with the traffic ban.
This is a measure that has begun to be implemented in many cities around the world, the most recent in Paris, where nothing moves from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. It is considered that the night lockdown “helps” to break the chain of transmission of the virus by young people, since on the one hand they will “empty” the nightclubs, where there is overcrowding, but it will also deal with congestion in squares and parks after midnight. , when stores close.
In fact, as mentioned above regarding the restaurant, shops are being considered to close their blinds sooner than what is happening now.
In addition, a wider use of the mask is being considered, that is, making it mandatory indoors and outdoors and in lower risk areas.
An additional measure on the table is the doubling of the fine for those who do not wear a mask, that is, from 150 euros a “bell” to 300, as well as the tightening of controls by the authorities to comply with all measures.
In any case, the measures can be announced before Friday, which is the next official briefing televised by the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection, Nikos Hardalia.
Health Map Reclassifications: Danger Zones
The negative news for the country does not stop here, since today there were reclassifications on the health map.
Specifically, as announced by the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection, Nikos Hardalias, Kastoria rose to the “red” level and became the second region with the highest level of risk, along with Kozani.
Also, Thessaloniki, Boeotia, Larisa and Serres will be on level 3, that is, the “yellow”.
Finally, at the moment, there will be no change in the level of Ioannina, which will remain in the “orange” until Saturday, when the situation will be reassessed.
