Today we announce 438 new cases of the new virus in the country, of which 32 are associated with known outbreaks and 28 were detected after checks at the country’s gateways. The total number of cases is 25,370, of which 55.6% are men.

3508 (13.8%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 10 153 (40.0%) are related to an already known case.

84 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their average age is 66. 24 (28.6%) are women and the rest are men. 94.0% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years of age or older. 256 patients have been discharged from the ICU.

Finally, we have 9 more deaths registered and 509 deaths in total in the country. 193 (37.9%) women and the rest men. The mean age of our deceased fellow citizens was 79 years and 96.3% had an underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.

According to the EODY report, the data presented correspond to cases of the epidemiological surveillance of the new coronavirus disease (COVID19), based on the data reported to EODY and registered until October 18, 2020 (3:00 p.m.) .
