Koronaios: Alarm in a nursing home in Glyfada – Cases detected

The health authorities have been alerted after the detection of coronavirus cases in a nursing home in Glyfada.

The elderly were transported by EKAB ambulances to “Attiko” hospital and according to the “MEGA Weekend” program there are two to five people.

Impressive, however, is the fact that, as recorded on camera, an employee of the nursing home does not wear gloves or a mask when opening the door to collect bread from a grocery store. While other nursing home workers appear to be moving inside the nursing home without protective measures.

Alarm in nursing homes

This is the ninth incident in a nursing home since the beginning of the epidemic in Greece.

The “Taxiarchai” clinic in Attica last April and the “Agia Kyriaki” Elderly Care Unit in Thessaloniki were preceded by the “coronavirus” outbreaks in which we had dozens of victims.

Cases have been recorded to date in units of Agios Panteleimon, Maroussi, Moschato, “Estia Papageorgiou” in Thessaloniki, as well as in another nursing home in Nea Makri during the first epidemic wave.

So far, the total number of people said to be carriers of the coronavirus is not known.

On Friday, EODY announced 508 new cases of coronavirus, which is a negative record for our country.

At the same time, 81 of our fellow citizens are in the ICU, while in the last 24 hours there have been 8 new deaths.

At the same time, Attica is under siege as 227 new cases of Covid-19 infections were recorded, while Thessaloniki reached 63 new cases in the last 24 hours.
