The EODY ladders conducted a large number of rapid tests for the coronavirus in Ioannina.

According to EODY, free tests for the coronavirus were carried out on 753 citizens, in the courtyard of the Governor’s Office of the Epirus Region, in Ioannina. From the 753 controls emerged 11 positive samples in the coronavirus (7 men and 4 women) with a mean age of 35 years. The percentage of positive samples over the total is 1.46%.

It is recalled that EODY carried out similar “operations” in Athens, where they were found 21 cases in 496 tests (percentage of positives 4.2%) as well as in Nice (percentage of positives 1.3%).

EODY and the country’s health authorities have been put on alert after the first decided closure for the Kozani region. The mayor of Kozani, Lazaros Maloutas, said that most of the cases concern young people, that is, people under 35 years of age.
