Concerns about the spread of the coronavirus have led to an increase in cases in many parts of the country.

Infectious disease specialists are particularly concerned about the increase in the death toll from the coronavirus, as the death toll has risen to 65 since the beginning of October.

Apart from Attica, which remains at the center of the pandemic wave in Greece, an alarm has sounded for the Kozani area as well as for the Ioannina and Pella areas, where dozens of new patient cases have been identified.

Infectious disease specialist Gikas Majorkinis warned that October will be a difficult month as the temperature drops and we are slowly entering enclosed spaces. “We should be very moderate optimism about whether it will stabilize or if we can see a small increase that we are avoiding,” he said. “Right now, if we stay at this level, we are fine.” And we should be optimistic that we will remain at this level. “

Where there is coloring and outdoors, the mask is mandatory and necessary to protect our health.

The focus is on Athens

Atenas remains at the top of the list of daily cases with 170 new patients, however it seems that the restrictive measures are working, since in the last 24 hours there is a stabilization in the number of new cases, with decreasing trends.

Based on case distribution, out of 408 in the last 24 hours, 170 cases were recorded in Attica.

In the center of Kozani, Ioannina and Pella
