Sebastian Kurtz condemned Turkey’s provocative actions in the Aegean and Cyprus, in a post on Twitter.
The Austrian Chancellor published 2 tweets on Tuesday, through which she expressed her opposite position on the mobility of Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean with the new departure of Oruts Reyes out in the open, but also her choice to open Varosia in Cyprus, an election causing friction and within the pseudo-state.
He also stated categorically that if Turkey continues like this, it will face sanctions.
Yes #Turkey continues to violate international law, faces the threat of #ME sanctions. Also Turkey’s accession negotiations with the #ME must be stopped. @kmitsotakis @CYPresidency

“I unequivocally condemn the new investigations of the Oruc Reis vessel in Greek territorial waters and the opening of Varosia in Cyprus. “Both movements clearly violate international law,” the Austrian chancellor wrote, adding: “If Turkey continues to violate international law, it will face the threat of EU sanctions. Negotiations with the EU must also stop.”
