In exchange of European Union not only in the eastern Mediterranean, but also on issues related to Euro-Turkish relations, as well as Azerbaijan’s support for the war in Nagorno-Karabakh. - He called for progress on the issue of visa liberalization for Turkish citizens traveling to European Union countries, as well as compliance with the EU’s obligations to Turkey on immigration.
- It called on the European Union to pursue a coherent policy of defending the “territorial integrity of Azerbaijan”, as it said that Europe’s energy security was in danger following the attacks by Armenia, initially in the Tovuz region and in the city of Ganja, zones are located on the route of oil and gas pipelines.
The statement said that President Erdogan said that “despite Turkey’s well-intentioned approach, Greece continues to take steps to increase tensions in the eastern Mediterranean.”

As Mr. Petsas said:
“Turkey’s actions are in complete conflict with the conclusions of the Extraordinary European Council of 1 and 2 October 2020. The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Mr Borrell, has already stated that the current Council will discuss Turkish Actions in the Eastern Mediterranean, focusing on Greece and Cyprus ”.
