The Defense Minister of Turkey Hulusi akar made statements at noon on Monday about the new “trip” launched by the Oruc Reis investigation and the Navtex they issued the Turks.

“Our Navy will provide the necessary protection accompanying our research vessels wherever necessary. Oruc Reis continues with the planned activities”, Akar said.

In fact, he did not hesitate to again blame Greece for the tensions in the Mediterranean: “We have jurisdiction in the Aegean and the Mediterranean from the UN. This is not a threat to anyone. The Greeks are doing their best to increase the intensity. They are involved in provocative actions. We hope that the neighbors will stay away from our investigations.”

Earlier, on the same wavelength, the Turkish Defense Minister Fatih donmez in a Twitter message, he stated that “The maintenance of our seismic research vessel Oruc Reis has been completed. Our ship left to do the X-ray of the Mediterranean. We will continue investigating, investigating and protecting our rights. If there is (natural gas) we will definitely find it.”
