Five areas in Attica are in “red” due to the coronavirus. These are the five municipalities where the most cases are identified.
In these areas, it is recommended that citizens wear masks both indoors and outdoors, however, according to the MEGA report, most people do not seem to apply the measure of wearing masks outdoors, despite the recommendations. .
Specifically, the “red” municipalities are:
the municipality of Atenas, the municipality of Piraeus, the municipality of Ilio, the municipality of Acharnes and the municipality of Peristeri.
At the same time, daily coronavirus data in Greece remains worrying, as the epidemic appears to maintain its dynamics, setting an intubation record.
On Friday afternoon (9/10) the National Public Health Agency announced that there are 391 new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease, of which 56 are associated with known outbreaks and 36 were identified after controls at the doors of the country. In fact, the 161 cases out of 391 were detected in the Attica region
The total number of cases is 21772 (daily variation + 1.8%), of which 55.7% men. 3,213 (14.8%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 8,892 (40.8%) are related to an already known case.
The map of health security and protection against Covid-19 infection was presented on Friday by the Minister of Digital Government, Kyriakos Pierrakakis.
The map is available on the website covid19.gov.gr and will be updated every 14 days based on the recommendations of the special committee of epidemiologists and specialists in infectious diseases or more frequently when required by health or epidemiological indicators.
As of October 12, the use of a mask indoors and outdoors with color is mandatory throughout the country.

Restaurant opening hours will be determined by levels of health insurance, while the same will be true for cinemas, theaters and concert halls.
Implementation of the measures will take place at the regional unit level unless exceptional circumstances arise that justify exceptions (for example, at the municipal level).
The determination of the level of risk in each area depends on the increasing or decreasing trend of the epidemiological variables, such as the number of cases per 100,000 inhabitants, the indicators of completeness of the Health system (eg, single beds used and beds of Units of Intensive Care) and epidemiological situation, as reflected in the follow-up data.
