The man from Kounoupidiana, Chania, appeared before police authorities today. tortured his dog hanging it up and cutting off his genitals, in a case that caused a stir throughout the country.
The defendant, during his testimony, stated that he proceeded to this act to “calm the dog”, as he characteristically stated. The 55-year-old has already been fined 30,000 euros, while his testimony was included in the file that has already been sent to the Chania Prosecutor’s Office.
The man, due to the passage of the road, was released. At the same time, PPC has made it available where it works.

The 55-year-old man’s lawyer spoke with Parakritika.gr, noting that in his testimony his client stated that he believed that he could sterilize his dog himself.
“He thought he could spay his dog by himself. That’s what he tried to do. When he saw what happened, he took him to the vet.”says his lawyer.
He adds that his client’s testimony was only a few lines long, precisely because he didn’t have much to say, other than what exactly happened, he claims.
