EODY announced 436 new cases of coronavirus in the country. This is the third highest number of reported cases.

The EODY announcement:

Today we announce 436 New cases of the new virus in the country, of which 65 are associated with known outbreaks and 17 were detected after controls at the country’s gateways. The total number of cases is 21,381, of which 55.8% are men.

3170 (14.8%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 8,727 (40.8%) are related to an already known case.

91 Our fellow citizens are being treated intubated. Their average age is 68 years. 25 (27.5%) are women and the rest are men. 90.1% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older. 236 patients have been discharged from the ICU.

Finally, we have 6 more deaths recorded and 430 deaths in total in the country. 160 (37.2%) women and the rest men. The mean age of our dying fellow citizens was 78 years and 96.5% had an underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.

The data presented refers to cases of the epidemiological surveillance of the new coronavirus disease (COVID19), based on the data reported to EODY and registered until October 8, 2020 (3:00 p.m.). There are 436 new cases of the disease confirmed by laboratory, of which 65 are associated with known outbreaks and 17 were identified after controls at the gates of the country.
