For his part, the detainee filed a lawsuit against a police officer for insult and simple bodily injury, for which the uniformed man was arrested.

Yesterday afternoon, in Corfu, police officers who were carrying out controls to comply with measures to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus, found that a man was not wearing a protective mask inside a store.
They called him out of the store and when informed that the prescribed administrative fine would be secured, he began to yell and threaten the police.
Before the police check was completed, he ran out of the scene and got into his car, while later resisting the police attempt to immobilize and arrest him.
He was finally arrested with the assistance of the DI.AS Group. and he was transferred to the Corfu Police Department, where a case was brought against him for threats and use of violence against employees, at the same time as the administrative fine was imposed.
The detainee filed a complaint against a police officer for simple bodily injury and insults.
The relevant cases were referred to the Corfu Prosecutor’s Office.
