A network of foreigners trafficked at the “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport was dismantled, after many days of investigation by the Security Department of the Athens Airport Police Directorate, in which an athlete is also said to be involved.
In particular, according to EL.AS, five foreigners, from Iraq, Algeria and Syria, were detained. They are four men of 27, 36 (both) and 73 years old, in addition to a 23-year-old woman, who are accused of violating the immigration code and the immigration law.
In particular, the first two members of the spiral met at the airport with the 23-year-old and the 36-year-old and gave them travel documents and falsified boarding passes, to be able to cross and go to a departure gate to countries Europeans. They even accompanied them together as a checkpoint.

The investigation that followed revealed the participation of another 73-year-old foreigner on the circuit. A search of his home in Athens revealed a large number of travel documents and he was arrested.

The investigation revealed that the 27-year-old, the 36-year-old and the 73-year-old are members of a network of foreign traffickers, who were supplied with travel documents from various countries, so they could illegally leave the Athens International Airport and head to another European. , or to remain illegally in our country. The record shows that an athlete is also involved in the case.
Police, examining the findings, extended their Facebook search to verify the information they had. The detainees with the case against them were taken to the Athens Prosecutor, while the investigation continues for the participation of other people in the case.
