Fire is in progress in Forest in Lefkimmi Soufli Evros.
A fire has broken out in a forest area in the Dadia forest area, one of the richest habitats for flora and fauna in Greece.
From the first moment the mobilization of the fire brigade, land and air, was very large. There are 26 firefighters operating in the area with eight vehicles, a pedestrian unit, four airplanes and a helicopter.
According to the Fire Department, the fire does not directly threaten a residential area currently, as 3-5 Beaufort winds blow through the area.
