The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) with a new announcement informs the passenger public about the airline’s instructions that will be valid until Monday, October 12, 2020 and aim to protect passengers and citizens from the COVID pandemic- 19:

* It is announced that with a new air directive that will be valid from Saturday, October 3 to 12/10/20, those passengers who travel to Greece by air connection from Poland will enter our country only with a negative Covid-19 test that will have been done. up to 72 hours before your arrival.

* The air instructions regarding the suspension of flights between Greece and Turkey and between Greece and the region of Catalonia in Spain are extended until 12/10/2020 at midnight.

* The air directive is extended, until 12/10/20, which establishes that all flights to and from Greece from Albania and North Macedonia will be operated only in the AIA “Eleftherios Venizelos”.

* The notam is also extended until October 12, which stipulates that those who travel to Greece by air from Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Belgium, Spain, Albania and North Macedonia will enter our country only with a negative C test. -19 that will have been made up to 72 hours before your arrival, while they will also be subjected to sampling tests.

* At the same time, the aviation directive is extended, until 12/10/2020, which provides for the prohibition of non-European citizens (non-EU citizens) from entering the country. Citizens and permanent residents of the following 11 countries are excluded from this note: Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, Uruguay, and the United Arab Emirates. her arrival in Greece.

* As for the air directive for permanent residents of Israel, it also extends until October 12 and stipulates that those who travel to Greece by air connection from Israel will enter our country only with a negative Covid-19 test, which will have been performed with the PCR method (taking pharyngeal or nasopharyngeal smears), up to 72 hours before arrival. Additionally, permanent residents of Israel coming to Greece will be re-sampled for COVID-19 while maintaining the maximum entry limit of 5,000 travelers from Israel to all airports in Greece.

* The CAA also informs about the extension until October 12 of the mandatory completion of the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) at the email address of all passengers on international flights to Greece. Completion can be done no later than the day before arrival. Please note that before accepting passengers for boarding, airlines must verify: (a) PLF confirmation at least the day before the flight, which is a mandatory travel document. b) the correspondence with the QR code and the PLF. Airlines that do not comply with this obligation of control will be responsible for the repatriation of passengers in charge of the company.

* It is recalled that until October 5, 2020 the notam for Russia (permanent residents) is valid, which provides entry only with negative covid-19 test at the airports of Athens, Thessaloniki and Heraklion, as well as a maximum of 500 passengers per week. In any case, permanent residents of Russia coming to Greece will be re-tested for covid-19.

For airline directives (extensions, replacements, new and amendments), exceptions to existing airline directives apply. Greek repatriation programs are also excluded.
