Business is in progress nursing home evacuation in Agios Panteleimon for the transfer of patients to reference hospitals in the capital.
At the same time, the number of cases is increasing, as more than forty confirmed cases have been registered.
The tests were carried out on about a hundred people, interns and employees, since Sunday, while among the positive cases are nurses.
In fact, according to a nursing home doctor, but also the president of EODY, the specific structure had been revised four times in August.
It is observed that since yesterday the following restrictive measures have come into force in the nursing home:
- The possibility of entering and leaving the aforementioned care center for the elderly is suspended, except for the staff, who with the care of the administration will be rotated and transferred according to the instructions of EODY.
- The supply and provision of basic needs (food, medicine, etc.), in the aforementioned care center for the elderly, will be done by the providers, without the possibility of entering it, observing all the necessary hygiene measures.
- The General Directorate of Police of Attica (GADA) will be in charge of supervising and carrying out the necessary actions to ensure the implementation of this policy in the aforementioned care center for the elderly.
The above restrictive measures are valid for ten days, from yesterday 09-30-2020 at 9:00 p.m. to October 9 at 9:00 p.m.
Attica remains in the “red” of the pandemic, while yesterday 195 positive cases were registered. For the whole of Greece, EODY announced 354 new cases with a total of 18,475. At the same time, 78 patients were admitted to the ICU by intubation, with a median age of 69 years.
In addition, 3 more deaths were announced in the last 24 hours, and the total number of victims reached 391.
